About Guido Borelli
Guido's romantic impressions of the Italian landscape convey his love of northern Italian seaside villages, cities & towns, houses and villas. Inspired by the play of shadow and light, his dramatic oil paintings bring flowers, trees, clouds, boats and bicycles, or a quiet village street to vibrant life.
Guido says that, "I am a true lover of nature and of everything gentle. My landscapes and houses combine reality and imagination. He states that he paints selectively from views stored in his memory, "...with intrinsically personal modifications."
Classicaly trained at Accademia Albertina, in Turin, Italy, Guido has exhibited widely in prestegious international venues. Today, his work is highly acclaimed and is in collections worldwide, including those of: former Presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan; Michael D. Eisner; Arnold Palmer; Carol Burnett; Lee Iacocca; Henry Kissinger and Oprah Winfrey, just to name a few.
