About David Kelley

David Kelley studied graphic design and painting at the Rhode Island School of Design. Since then he has been a practicing professional artist in two fields.

As a designer-illustrator, he has consulted with publishers, advertisers, high tech, and sports related companies.

As an artist, he evolved from a traditional into a more graphic oriented painter of sports and wildlife which have won him awards in all corners of the country.

Most of the images presented here began life as a watercolor or collage which have been re-drawn digitally. In recent years David's work has become more playful and colorful, influenced by the music of Dave Brubeck and the art and colors of the tropics. Despite these influences, living on Cape Cod is luring David back to landscape painting again.
